I have BV, and so the doctor prescribed me ‘Metrosa Gel’ Metronidazole 0.75% , in the instructions it said it is used for the treatment of the acute exacerbations of acne rosacea.
Anyone else being prescribed this for BV ? (i doubt it though, it must be the wrong medication)

I am using finacea, a creme that helps fight acne/rosacea, i want to go to a tanning salon and get some color, is it ok while using finacea that i go tanning, obviously not when its on my face..?

My face is always red. Its looks like i have sunburn all the time. I have a feeling it could be acne rosacea but i am under the age of 18. This really brings down my self esteem, and people question my about it all the time.
What do i have acne rosacea or something else? And what can i do to treat this redness?

For the past 3 months I have been getting lots of acne. I’m 28 years old and my family doesn’t suffer from acne. Although my dermetologist says it’s acne rosacea…I’m currently under medication called Adorax (not sure of the spelling) and also a night cream. Unfortunately the medicine is helping some but my acne doesn’t stop coming….the weird thing about it is that it itches too. What could it be? Why does my face itch? Furthermore, I only have it on my face and nowhere else. I have also replaced all of my makeup. Could I have something else? If anybody might know the answer to this problem, please help me.

after using some harsh face products including a topical steroid medication, my basically perfect skin turned into mild-moderate acne and tight and dry and oily within one weeks time . my dermatologist said this is a coincidental onset of both seborrheic dermatitis and acne rosacea . this sounds like BS . what do you think ? and does anyone know whats wrong ???

I am a young hispanic male, I don’t fit the description of people who are prone to acne rosacea. I am going to a dermatologist soon, what is the typical treatment? Should I expect blood to be drawn?

My eye doctor actually told me that I have acne rosacea. He is an ophthalmologist, so he has been to medical school. What do dermatologists normally prescribe for it?

I was diagnosed with rosacea about a month ago. The dermatologist prescribed an anitibiotic & gave me a brochure with a list of things to avoid. She said I should see some improvement in a month, & suggested doing laser treatment. I had a follow up appt. this past Tuesday.

I was under the impression the antibiotic would help with the rosacea, so when she asked if I was seeing any improvement, I said no. She then asked if I was still having acne outbreaks; I said just a couple, but they went away right away. I voiced my confusion, and she said the antibiotic was for the acne, and that the rosacea is actually blood vessels, & there is no treatment; I can just do things that will keep it from getting worse.

She said the laser treatment will only reduce the redness about 25%, not eliminate it. My insurance doesn’t cover it, & it will be 0.

If it only reduces it 25%, is it worth it?

Also, is there really no treatment? I thought there was something you could do.

Also, why do they call it "acne rosacea" if it’s actually blood vessels, not acne?

i have been using metrogel for about a month now and i see no difference my doctor said it got lighter a little bit but seriously i don’t see any difference but that it stopped burning sensation. i don’t have acne rosacea or whatever it just plain red. i’m just sick of people every where who look at my cheeks, so i’m wonderig how much would laser surgery cost for it?
