how does it work for hyperpigmentation from acne scar.

i got a lot of red dots on cheeks and how long does it take to make they disappear???

P.S. any other acne scar product thats good??? not homemade stuff or proactiv

I’ve been using proactiv for my acne and it helped a little bit, but I can’t get rid of the black marks left behind from my acne. Any suggestions. I’m a woman of color by the way.

I am 45 years old and I have battled an acne problem since I was a teenager. At times it would be OK but then flare up again. For the past 4 years I have used Proactiv and although it helps, I still have flare ups. Has anyone tried any other products out there other than Proactiv and has had any success?

I have never had bad skin. I went all through high school and my early 20’s with NO pimples. I am now 28 and my skin is HORRIBLE. It’s embarassing, and makes me feel ugly. It only began about a year ago. I started using Proactiv, and it worked for about 6 months, now it doesn’t work anymore. I have never had to deal with this before and I hate it. I don’t know what could possibly be causing these break outs. Any advice would be helpful. Also, if anyone has had this sort of problem with Proactiv, I’d like to know if I am the only one!

Last week I saw a dermatologist for a moderate acne problem on my back and shoulders. I’ve had acne there for about 5 years and tried ProActive and all kinds of benzoyl peroxide and salicytic acids but nothing has worked so far (except by bleaching my clothes!). Anyway, I’ve recently read that Oracea is primarily used to treat rosacea. Is it going to help reduce/eliminate my acne? How long should it take to work? It’s only been five days, so I obviously don’t expect results yet, but I’m just curious as to how long I should expect to wait to see them!

Dan, ProActiv has worked on my face for about five years now, so I don’t really find it to be a scam at all!

Well, I was using AcneFree Sensitive but found out that Salicylic acid and Retin A are both ingredients that are not safe for pregnant women. I was reading that a lot of dermatologists recommend using Benzoyl peroxide (which is in proactiv) I was wondering what did you use to clear your acne???? Plain facewash does not work for me…..

i have had very severe breakouts in april and after that my acne settled down after using some produtcs and after that i kept getting frequent breakouts but i wud manage to control and ingore the problem. HOwever from July my face is FILLED with pustules and cystic acne and a bit of rosacea and yes i have TRIED accutane and i did not work for me for long and tried zendmed, ace free, proactiv, clearsil, neutrogena, and what not u name it. is this a good idea. use proactiv before school. after school i usually workout then take a shower. directly after shower i use proactiv again so that covers twice a day. then right before i go to sleep i use neutrogenas oil free acne wash cream cleanser. then i use cetaphil moisturizing cream to top it off. does it sound good? if not help me rearrange them. btw i have a lot of acne on forehead and cheeks.
